My Recap of the 2003 Race

Over the weekend I went to the Birdsapallooza event to check out the cars and meet the people who hang out on the Y-Block yahoo group. I crawled around under some of the cars to see what parts would fit on the Lincoln. There was a 51 Ford 4 door..none of the vent rubber or suspension parts would fit. It was neat to see all the cars out there running down the strip. I watched the races from the finish line and none of the regular road cars had any problems..no exploding engines or clutches. Nobody was rag'n out the car to win. It was good clean fun..The quality of the vehicles out there were high. I talked to one gentlemen who had his beauty out there the year before that won awards at Autorama. The cars out there were immaculate. If you are interested in bringing your car to next years event you can contact the Birdsapallooza event on my home page or the link on the left . Im going to take my beast next year and just run it down the track a couple of times to see what it can do... Also you can just bring your car out to show and hang out with the other Y-block owners..there should be pictures up on the Y-blocksforever web site soon.
